Centennial Trading Card Fundraiser

The Centennial High School Track & Field team is stepping into a moment many student athletes never get the opportunity to experience. Through a first of its kind trading card fundraiser, local athletes are being recognized not only for their accomplishments on the track, but for the hard work, discipline, and dedication they continue showing throughout Saint Lucie County.

The fundraiser, organized through Positivity Pays in partnership with Kayy Love Management and Hibbett, has quickly become another example of how the community continues showing up for young people in a major way.

For years, trading cards have been associated with professional athletes, nationally recognized stars, and major sports organizations. Now, student athletes in Fort Pierce are receiving that same level of recognition through collectible trading cards designed to celebrate their achievements and create lasting memories for the athletes, their families, and supporters.

The fundraiser launched Friday, May 15 on Eventbrite and runs through Friday, May 29, with proceeds benefiting the Centennial Track Team.

Saint Lucie County Continues Showing Up For Youth

What makes this fundraiser special is not just the cards themselves, but the overwhelming support surrounding the athletes.

Throughout Saint Lucie County, the community has continued finding ways to invest in local youth through athletics, mentorship, education, and creative opportunities. This trading card initiative has become another example of that support in action.

Positivity Pays has continued creating opportunities centered around youth empowerment, literacy, athletics, and positive community engagement throughout the Treasure Coast. Alongside Kayy Love Management, the organizations have worked to give young athletes professional level experiences while helping them feel seen, valued, and celebrated by their own community.

Hibbett has also played a major role in helping create opportunities for local youth through these trading card events and community centered initiatives. The partnership has helped bring a level of excitement and recognition that many of these athletes have never experienced before.

Centennial Athletes Being Celebrated Through Trading Cards

The fundraiser includes collectible trading cards featuring:

The Boys 4x800 Relay Team includes Christopher Hernandez-Oakes, Marc “Chu” Johns Jr., Nathan Lynch, and Dominic DiMarco.

The relay team finished the season as:

  • State 4A 7th Place Medalists

  • 4A Region 2 Champions

  • School Record Holders with a time of 7:50.45

Marc “Chu” Johns Jr. has also continued establishing himself as one of the area’s standout athletes. Johns is a 4x school record holder and was previously ranked as the 5th fastest junior in Florida 4A in the 400m.

His track and field personal records include:

  • 400m: 49.18

  • 200m: 22.67

  • 100m: 11.1

  • 60m: 7.13

More Than A Fundraiser

While the fundraiser helps support the Centennial Track Team financially, many believe the deeper impact is the recognition being given to the athletes themselves.

For many of these students, this is the first time they have ever seen themselves featured on a collectible item recognizing their accomplishments. The cards represent much more than sports memorabilia. They represent community support, encouragement, and proof that their hard work matters.

Supporters can purchase:

The athlete who sells the most cards during the fundraiser will also receive a shopping experience at Hibbett, adding another layer of excitement and motivation to the initiative.

As the fundraiser continues gaining attention throughout the Treasure Coast, one thing has become clear: Saint Lucie County continues finding creative ways to celebrate and invest in its youth, and the Centennial Eagles Track & Field program is receiving that support at full speed.
